Since dragon boating involves water, expect to get wet, so it's advisable to wear moisture-wicking, dri-fit clothing (no jeans).
Don't forget a hat or toque (depending on the weather), suitable footwear like light-soled, non-slip shoes, and sunglasses to enhance your experience on the water.

Absolutely, safety is a top priority in dragon boating. We take every measure to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience on the water. Our sessions are led by experienced coaches and steerers who guide and supervise the team at all times. Prior to departure the steerer will inspect the boat ensuring it is in a safe condition, that at least two bailers are onboard and the safety kit is in place.
Life jackets are a mandatory requirement and they must be worn by all participants throughout each session.
Prior to departure, a head count will be taken and relayed to all on the boat. Paddlers will familiarize themselves with the person adjoining as they will be ‘safety buddies’ in the event of capsizing.
In addition, there's always a team member certified in first aid on board ready to respond to any medical concerns. Your safety is our utmost concern, allowing you to focus on the thrill of dragon boating while we handle the rest.
